1. What This Service Is

I Didn't Use AI provides tools that help students document and demonstrate their writing process. We offer:

Web Analyzer: Analyzes the revision history of a Google Docs document you select and generates an evidence report.
Google Docs Add-on (coming soon): Records periodic snapshots of your writing process and generates a report.

The reports generated by this service are supporting evidence — they are not a legal document, a certified notarization, or a guarantee of any academic outcome.

2. Who Can Use It

This service is intended for college and university students. By using the service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age.

3. What You Agree To

You will use this tool honestly — to document work you actually did.
You will not attempt to tamper with, forge, or misrepresent reports generated by this service.
You understand that the report is supporting evidence, not a guarantee that your institution will accept it.
You understand that we access only the Google Docs document you explicitly select through Google Picker.

4. What We Provide

A tool that analyzes your document's revision history (Web Analyzer)
A report summarizing your writing activity with academic reference comparisons
Optional PDF download of the report
Optional server-side hash verification (Add-on only)

We provide this service "as is." We do our best to keep it working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that the tool will meet every institution's requirements.

5. What We Don't Do

We do not evaluate whether you used AI
We do not make academic decisions on your behalf
We do not guarantee any specific academic outcome
We do not provide legal advice
We do not store your document content on our servers

6. Important Limitations

Evidence, not proof. The reports generated by this service present observations about your writing process compared to published academic research. They do not "prove" or "certify" anything. The distinction matters:

We show what the data indicates, not what it proves.
We provide academic reference comparisons, not scores or verdicts.
How your institution interprets this evidence is beyond our control.

7. Google Drive Data

When you use the Web Analyzer, you grant us temporary access to one Google Docs document through Google's OAuth system with the drive.file scope. This access is used solely to read that document's revision history for analysis. We do not modify your document. You can revoke this access at any time through your Google Account settings.

8. Your Data

Your data is yours. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect, how we store it, and how to delete it.

9. Intellectual Property

The service, its code, and branding are owned by verlyn. Your documents and the data generated from your writing process belong to you.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I Didn't Use AI and verlyn shall not be liable for any academic penalties, lost grades, disciplinary actions, or other damages arising from the use or inability to use this service.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
